Writing Competition Coaching
Empowering students and parents with specialized coaching for high-stakes writing competitions. We focus on precision, strategy, and the unique demands of competitive essay formats.
Most writing coaches teach students to write. Kristie teaches students to find what they're actually trying to say — and then say it with enough precision and confidence that judges remember it.
She has coached students to recognition in competitions including the CT Shoreline Heads of English Department contest and the IMPAC CT State Universities Young Writers Competition, as well as national programs including Scholastic Art and Writing Awards and YoungArts.
This is focused, draft-based work. Kristie reads closely, responds in writing, and works with students across multiple revisions toward a submission that sounds like them — at their best, not their most performative.
Availability is limited. If you're interested, reach out through the contact form with the competition your student is targeting and their submission deadline.
